Embarkation Port - Rotterdam
Embarking at Rotterdam is simple, We flew into Amsterdam, jumped on a train (they run regularly) and then grabbed an Uber to the port. You can also grab a water taxi to the terminal if you stay overnight in the city. For those you landing into Amsterdam most cruise lines offer transfers. If you want to stay locally we’d recommend SS Rotterdam or the Holland America Line hotel - it’s on theme!

Start your cruise early!
- Pop into Hotel New York, formerly the Holland America Lines office, now transformed into a hotel on the 'Kop van Zuid' in Rotterdam. This historic site was once the departure point for thousands of emigrants heading to North America in search of a better life. Nowadays, visitors come here to rest, dine, socialize, tie the knot, gather, or revel. The moment you step inside, you're enveloped by the echoes of the past; this is where it all unfolded. Nostalgia permeates the air!
- SS Rotterdam, a former Holland America Line ship, step on board and travel back in time to a classic voyage. Rest, Eat, Discover, Unwind or Escape (Room).
Beer Snacks
Make sure you drop into a bar, grab a dutch beer (Heineken or Amstel) and order some dutch snacks like Bitterballen, Kroketten and French fries with mayonnaise. Then pull up a stool outside and people watch...

The Kijk-KubusHome museum is definitely worth a visit to admire its interior, but don't plan on spending more than 30 minutes there. The exterior view is equally impressive.
