    Top Tips

Tips to help you have a great time on shore.

    Uber?

Yes! Local taxi's are also available

    Currency?

British Pound. ATMs can be found in some cruise terminals. Banks and ATMs can be found in the city.

    Dock Side?

There's 5 Cruise Terminals in Southampton:

    • QEII Cruise Terminal
      • Located in the eastern docks, this is one of the trickiest to get to, we would advise arriving by taxi or shuttle from the car park through Dock gate 4. This is one of the lesser used terminals, however Cunard, Disney Cruise Line and P&O Cruises dock here.
    • Ocean Cruise Terminal
      • The closest terminal to the Town Quay and ocean village. Walkable nearby hotels include Harbour Hotel and Room 2. This terminal is almost always used by Cunard, P&O Cruises and Princess/the Carnival group of cruise lines.
    • City Cruise Terminal
      • As you would imagine this terminal is the closest to the city and located near the most hotels e.g. Moxy, Holiday Inn and the Pig in the wall. Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean and Fred Olsen normally call this terminal home.
    • Horizon Cruise Terminal
      • Sits in the middle of City and Mayflower terminals, the closest to the railway station, and slightly further away from the city centre than City. MSC Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line normally dock here when in port.
    • Mayflower
      • Like QEII Mayflower cruise terminal is used as an over flow from the three other preferred terminals and is the furthest away from the city.

All terminals have cafe's and ATM services. Depending on your cruise line you may be offered a shuttle into town if you're passing through rather than starting or ending your voyage. We've walked from hotels to Ocean, City and Horizon cruise terminals, but we wouldn'trecomendit for the others.  We've also been able to walk from the Station to Horizon and City Terminals
