  • We're Going to Antarctica! Join Us for Our Biggest Adventure Yet
  • 7 August 2026 by
    Thomas Dubber

If you'd told us when we stepped aboard our very first cruise together in 2018 that one day we'd be preparing to stand on the White Continent, we probably wouldn't have believed you.

Fast forward a few years, dozens of ships and countless adventures later, and we're counting down to the greatest journey we've ever taken.

From the Norwegian fjords and Scotland's Hebrides to Alaska and the remote Marquesas Islands, every voyage has taken us a little further off the beaten track. But one destination has always remained firmly at the top of our bucket list: Antarctica.

In November 2027 that dream becomes reality as we join Polar Pride with Polar Latitudes aboard Ocean Victory. It feels like the natural next chapter in our cruising journey—and without doubt the biggest adventure we've ever embarked on.

    Why Antarctica?

Antarctica is one of the last truly wild places on Earth, where nature sets the schedule and every day is shaped by the weather, the wildlife and the ice. No two expeditions are ever the same. One day we might be cruising between towering icebergs in a Zodiac, the next watching humpback whales feed beside the ship or stepping onto the White Continent itself. It isn't about ticking another destination off a list—it's about experiencing one of the world's last great wildernesses.

How Our Travels Led Us Here

Looking back, it's easy to see how our travels have evolved. What started with traditional ocean cruising gradually became a search for places that felt wilder and more remote. Norway, the Hebrides, Alaska and French Polynesia each showed us a different side of expedition travel. Antarctica feels like the next chapter in that story.

    What Is Polar Pride?

Polar Pride is an annual celebration across the Arctic and Antarctic that recognises and celebrates the LGBTQ+ people who live and work in the polar regions. From scientists and researchers to station staff and conservationists, it's about visibility, inclusion and belonging in one of the world's most remote environments.

Our voyage coincides with Polar Pride, giving us the chance to learn more about the remarkable people who dedicate their lives to Antarctica while experiencing this extraordinary continent for ourselves. Celebrating Polar Pride at the end of the world is something we'll never forget.

    Why Polar Latitudes?

When we started researching Antarctica, one name kept appearing: Polar Latitudes. Their small-ship expeditions, experienced expedition team and focus on immersive exploration made them an easy choice. We'll be sailing aboard Ocean Victory, a purpose-built expedition ship designed to maximise time exploring Antarctica rather than simply sailing past it.

    What We're Most Excited About

    ·       Seeing penguins in the wild.

    ·       Watching whales in Antarctic waters.

    ·       Cruising through towering icebergs.

    ·       Our first Zodiac landing.

    ·       Stepping onto Antarctica for the first time.

    ·       Photographing some of the most dramatic scenery on Earth.

    ·       Experiencing Polar Pride in Antarctica.

Could Antarctica Be Your Next Adventure?

This isn't a hosted group cruise. There's no itinerary to follow, no matching T-shirts and no expectations. But if you've ever dreamed of Antarctica, we'd genuinely love to share this adventure with our Vitamin Sea UK community.

We'll be sailing aboard Ocean Victory for Polar Pride in November 2027, and we'd love to see a few familiar faces on the same voyage. Whether you're travelling solo, as a couple or with friends, imagine spotting your first penguin together, swapping stories over dinner after a day of Zodiac cruising and raising a glass at the end of the world.

If you'd like to know more about the voyage, Polar Pride or travelling with Polar Latitudes, get in touch. We'd be delighted to share everything we've learnt as we count down to departure. Drop us a message via instagram or vitaminsea.uk@yahoo.com
